What's the difference between a custom app and a public app?
A custom app is built for one store and installed only there. A public app is listed on the Shopify App Store for any merchant to install, and has to pass Shopify's app review first.
Can you build an app for the Shopify App Store?
Yes. We've launched three of our own, and SE Wishlist Engine is Built for Shopify. We can take your app from plan to listing, review and ongoing updates.
Do custom apps work on every Shopify plan?
Yes, with one exception: custom apps that use Shopify Functions need Shopify Plus. Public apps with Functions, like Checkout Engine, work on any plan.
How long does it take to build an app?
It depends on the scope and the systems involved. You get a timeline with your plan, before any work starts.
Will you look after the app after launch?
Yes. We can keep it updated for new Shopify API versions, fix issues and add features as your needs change.
