Poison theme documentation
Auf dieser Seite
Poison is a Shopify theme for fashion, beauty, jewelry and streetwear stores with medium to large catalogs. This documentation explains how to set it up and what every part of it does.
Start here
- Getting started: the four presets, a first-hour checklist, image sizes, and what to prepare in your Shopify admin.
- Theme settings: colors, fonts, shapes, product cards, the cart type and the other settings that apply to the whole store.
Build your pages
- Header and footer: the announcement bar, menus and the mega menu, search, country and language selectors, the footer.
- Sections: every section you can add to a page, and when to use it.
- Product page: the gallery, the variant picker and swatches, the buy buttons, quick add, and the other product blocks.
- Collection pages and search: filters, sorting, the product grid and search results.
- Cart: the drawer, the cart page and the notification, the free shipping goal and the cart's extras.
- Other pages: blog, pages, contact, password, gift card and the page for links that are not found.
Sell everywhere
- Languages and markets: the twelve languages the theme speaks, translating your own content, right-to-left layout, and currencies.
Reference
The reference pages list every setting with its choices and its default, exactly as the theme editor shows them.
Help
For developers
- Developers: how the theme is built and how to change code safely.
- Events reference: every event the theme sends, with its data and examples.
- Changelog: what each version added or changed.
What you need
- A Shopify store on any plan.
- For product filters and complementary products, and to choose product recommendations yourself: Shopify's free Search & Discovery app.
- For selling in several languages: Shopify's free Translate & Adapt app, or another translation app.
- For subscriptions: a subscription app, such as Shopify's free Subscriptions app.
The theme works without any of these; each one turns on the feature named.
Browsers
Poison supports the current and the previous version of Safari (macOS and iOS), Chrome (desktop and Android), Firefox, Edge and Samsung Internet, and the in-app browsers of Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.
